Sharp money. Diamond traders consistently beat the market on size — averaging 4-figure bets with positive ROI across the rolling window.
Strong week. Platinum is the highest tier most active traders touch — Diamond and Challenger are reserved for traders who back up size with edge.
Solid trader. Above the median of qualifying wallets, but not yet signal-grade.
Above the qualifying line. Silver wallets pass the activity gate (5 sport markets / $100 wagered / $100 avg bet) but don't show consistent edge.
Active enough to qualify, ROI in the lower 25% of ranked wallets. Bronze is the floor of the ranked universe.
Yes — tiers are recomputed every 5 minutes. A great Sunday slate can move a Silver trader to Diamond by Monday morning, and a bad Monday can move them back.
They drop out of the ranked universe entirely. Their profile page still works (showing the last 7 days of history before they went quiet) but they no longer carry a tier badge.
Sports betting reward distributions are heavy-tailed — a small percentage of traders earn most of the alpha. Putting only the top 0.1% in Challenger keeps the tier meaningful; otherwise it would just become a second Diamond.
Yes. We use a Sharpe-style score (mean PnL per unit standard deviation of bet outcomes), not raw PnL. A wallet that won 40% of bets at +200% odds outranks one that ground out a 60%-win-rate at -110.
All-time stats reward stale legends. Polyranks is built around 'who is hot right now' — we don't show them anywhere on purpose.
